Chaetomorphais a very popular dense wiry macroalgae, it is fast growing and very desirable for sumps and refugiums for nitrate and phosphate removal. It is easy to grow but hard to attach to rock work preferring to free float and find its own attachment site. Once establish it will reproduce by segmentation, however it is easy to remove and control from unwanted sites. It is VERY palatable to tangs and angel fish providing an excellent addition to their diet. Requires dosing of plant fertilizers and micro nutrients to thrive.
