Codium "Dead Man's Finger's" is a green sponge like algae which grows in irregular thick branches. It is an easy to grow macroalgae but grows incredibly slowly. Codium has a very soft texture and is easily broken apart, but is also flexible. Codium requires very little light and also doesn't need to be attached to anyting, liking to be free in the aquarium, similar to a tubleweed. This makes it ideal for a refugium or in the main display.
