This macro algae is in the genus of Halymenia and it has proven fairly easy to care for. A natural deep red colour. It will darken or lighten depending on the light conditions. Under bright lighting it will FLUORESCE a deep orange colour, hence the name dragons tongue. It is naturally slimy and attachment to rock work should be done via elastic band or zip tie etc. Superglue will not work. I recommend zip tying to a frag plug, carefull to not break the algae as it is easily ripped.It can be a fast grower in the correct conditions and loves bright light as it is typically a shallow water grower.
