Halymenia Maculata, Frilly Halymenia is an extremely rare macroalgae, in fact I cannot see it for sale anywhere else on the internet. This macro algae is in the genus of Halymenia requiring similar care to more available species in this genus, it has proven fairly easy to care for. A natural brown/pink colour with spots. It will darken or lighten depending on the light conditions. Under bright lighting it will FLUORESCE a deep red colour. It is naturally slimy and attachment to rock work should be done via superglue but is difficult. I recommend using lettuce clips to attach the algae to the aquarium glass. As this algae is so extremely rare and I only have limited quantities
